The Arts

Art courses develop the critical and creative thinking skills and the habits of sustained practice necessary for success in any field. Freshman students take introductory visual arts or Interactive Art. Interactive Art specifically focuses on using engagement with great works of art to develop transferable skills of noticing, inquiry and critical reflection.The sophomore Art in Society course requires students to develop knowledge in a particular area of the arts and design a solution for a contemporary art and society issue. Junior and senior students take studio art where they engage in a series of extended projects to further develop their skills.
