NCCP Student Strikes Gold At Hussey Copper

Monday, March 5, 2018

Nazareth Prep student Paul is learning engineering skills at Hussey Copper, the world’s largest and most expert producer of electrical copper bar.

Paul expressed a desire to learn about the engineering industry, so Hussey Copper was a natural fit. At his internship, Paul is working on plans involving new workspaces for Hussey processes. Paul has the responsibility of figuring out which building hardware is necessary (quantity and product) and ordering the materials.

"Paul's work ethic and personal growth is evident every day" said intern supervisor Howard Snyder. "We are thrilled to have him."

The Nazareth Prep internship program gives our students the rare opportunity to learn real-world skills working in some of Pittsburgh's top companies. The program partners with over 100 local businesses and non-profits. Our corporate partners work with NCCP students to enhance their talents while providing assistance to offset the cost of tuition.
