Nazareth Prep Welcomes William Hill as New President

Nationally recognized education leader with a track record in academic achievement, nonprofit fundraising, and community engagement will guide school into its next chapter

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania [Sept. 2, 2025] – The Board of Trustees of Nazareth Prep high school is pleased to announce the appointment of William Hill as its new President. Hill officially assumed the role this summer following a national search for an experienced leader to guide the school into its next chapter.

Hill brings more than two decades of leadership in education and nonprofit management, with a proven record of driving academic achievement, advancing equity, securing significant philanthropic support, and fostering community partnerships. He assumes responsibilities previously held by Sister Linda Yankoski—who transitioned to President Emerita and Director of Mission Integration after many years as CEO this summer—ensuring continuity in the school’s mission while introducing fresh vision and strategic leadership.

Throughout his career, Hill has led organizations through transformative growth, including securing millions in philanthropic funding, implementing innovative instructional strategies, and elevating brand visibility. Most recently, as Executive Director of a network of schools in Tennessee, he raised $4 million in philanthropy, managed a $35 million budget, and launched new academic initiatives that boosted student performance.

“William embodies the values, vision, and expertise we sought for this role,” said Holy Family Institute CEO Michael Sexauer. “His commitment to spiritual formation, students, families, and community, along with his experience in fundraising and educational leadership, will strengthen Nazareth Prep’s ability to prepare students for success in college, career, and life.”

Hill officially welcomed new students during orientation for the 2025/’26 school year. Ninth and tenth graders began August 21st and all grades were in session as of August 25th.

“I’m excited to join the Nazareth Prep community,” Hill said. “This is a school rooted in purpose and possibility, and I look forward to building on its legacy while inspiring our students to achieve their highest potential.”

Hill’s professional expertise spans instructional leadership, fundraising, college and career readiness, equity and inclusion, and strategic planning. He has also completed leadership programs at Harvard University and is an active member of the National Alliance of Black School Educators.

Hill holds degrees and certifications from Sojourner Douglass College, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University in Maryland, Morgan State University, and a Master of Divinity from Grand Canyon University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Advanced Biblical Preaching at Biola University.
